Stanpumps Engineering Industries acknowledges that the health and safety of our stakeholders is of paramount importance. To fulfill our obligations under health and safety legislation, we are committed to ensuring that responsibilities related to health and safety are effectively assigned, accepted, and carried out throughout our organisation.

As far as reasonably practicable, Stanpumps Engineering Industries will ensure that:

  • The company is structured and plans for health and safety in an effective manner, providing and maintaining safe work environments and systems.
  • Our staff receive the training and support necessary to competently carry out their responsibilities.
  • All potential risks arising from our operations or those of our contractors are assessed and either eliminated or mitigated to acceptable levels.

To achieve these goals, Stanpumps Engineering Industries will ensure that:

  • The necessary resources are allocated appropriately.
  • Objectives are monitored, and inspections of all workplaces are conducted regularly.
  • We review safety performance and audit the implementation of our health and safety standards and procedures.

Additionally, Stanpumps Engineering Industries operates a comprehensive health and safety management programme, complete with detailed policies and procedures. We make significant investments in technology, such as CNC machinery and robotic welding, to further reduce health and safety risks for our operators.

H&S Management Systems

At Stanpumps Engineering Industries, we have implemented a robust Health and Safety (H&S) Management System and have achieved ISO 45001 (formerly OHSAS 18001) accreditation.

Our management team regularly conducts safety briefings for all contractors and staff to ensure everyone is informed and prepared. Prior to any site visits, we discuss specific safety practices and policies tailored to each client.

We also assess our employees' skills and training requirements through a comprehensive skills matrix, ensuring that the most qualified individual is assigned to each job or project. Our H&S system is overseen and continuously improved by our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) manager.

5's Workplace Practise

Creating, Managing and Developing a Health and Safety culture, starts "at home".

In our workshops we adopt a 5's approach where everything has its place.

  • Our lifting equipment is colour coded and tested in accordance with the requirements of our H&S management system.
  • All electrical items, such as welding sets, power extensions and items that we take to customer site, are checked, certified and marked accordingly.
